«To teach is to keep learning.»
Since 2009, I have been teaching yoga, breathing techniques and environmental education. Over the years, I have guided hundreds of students, delivered professional training courses and developed projects that integrate the body, breathing and the local environment.
My experience combines ongoing practice, specialist training and working directly with people in educational settings, both in the field of yoga and in nature interpretation and environmental education.
Below you will find a summary of my career, qualifications and main areas of expertise.
Yoga and training
I have been working in the field of yoga teaching since 2009. I have led regular classes, workshops and teacher training programmes, supporting learning processes both in person and online.
Together with Helena Chacón, I founded the teacher training school that is now Holistic EcoYoga, where we develop training courses and specialisations focused on integrating physical practice, breathing, applied anatomy and mindfulness. My main area of specialisation is pranayama and breathing techniques applied to yoga.
Breathing and apnoea
My research into breathing began when I was 18, through free diving, and continues today, combining the practice of competitive freediving, pranayama and breathing education.
As an international instructor with Apnea Academy, I have taught courses in both swimming pools and open water, developing an approach that combines physiology, performance, mindfulness and first-hand experience. This work has consolidated my specialisation in yogic breathing and breathing education.
Environmental education and the local area
My relationship with nature began long before I started my professional career. Over time, that initial sensitivity developed into training, practical experience and projects focused on landscape interpretation, the popularisation of the natural sciences and environmental education.
I have been involved in initiatives relating to sustainable land management, ecological restoration, biodiversity and environmental awareness. I am currently continuing to build on this experience through further training and by starting the Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences at the UNED.
I see environmental education as an invitation to observe, understand and care for the living world, drawing on knowledge and direct experience of the local area.
